Josh Lewis is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) with nearly two decades of experience in economic, business, and workforce development. He has worked with local and regional organizations in North Carolina and Virginia. He has previously held leadership and development roles with the Mount Rogers Regional Partnership, Virginia Economic Development Partnership, United Way, and Goodwill Industries. During his career, Josh has helped to announce more than 6,000 jobs and more than $2 billion in capital investment. Josh obtained an MBA from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro and a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, he holds a certificate in business strategy from the University of Virginia – Darden School. Josh earned the CEcD designation from the International Economic Development Council and serves as chair of the organization’s public policy advisory committee and is a member of the Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO) committee. He also serves on the board of directors for the Pitt County Educational Foundation, chairing the foundation’s development committee, and is a member of the North Carolina Economic Development Association’s public policy committee. Outside of work, Josh enjoys history, outdoor activities, sports, and traveling. He and his wife, Amanda, have a daughter, Millie, and two dogs. They love being part of the Pitt County community and exploring all that eastern North Carolina has to offer.
