Greenville – ENC Alliance Announces New Vice President of Business Development

GREENVILLE, North Carolina (September 9, 2020)As the Greenville – Eastern North Carolina Alliance continues to grow, the public-private economic development partnership is building its team through staff member additions.

The Alliance’s first President and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Weathers, announced the hiring of Uconda R. Dunn as the organization’s Vice President of Business Development. In this role, she will work to market the Pitt County region to domestic and international companies interested in establishing or growing operations in local communities.

"Uconda brings more than 13 years of economic development experience, with a track record of attracting new investment and jobs to North Carolina, as well as working to retain and expand existing companies here in our state,” said Weathers. "She is one of the top economic development professionals in North Carolina and we are excited and fortunate that she has joined our team."

Dunn most recently served as the Director of Economic Development for the Central Virginia Partnership where she helped to grow the Charlottesville region. She previously worked under the North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, primarily serving the Charlotte and western North Carolina regions.

“I know this area has many hidden opportunities for growth and I could not be more excited to share our story with companies and site selection consultants from coast to coast,” said Dunn. “We have a strong team coming on Board and I look forward to working with them, our Board of Directors, partners, investors, and Steve Weathers.”

As a native of Tarboro, Dunn is excited to be back in the eastern North Carolina area to help Pitt County attract new businesses, grow current businesses, and thrive as a community.
